Summerdale

Just north of Foley lies Summerdale, which offers a picturesque view of rural farm life and lives up to its slogan, "The Sunshine City." Summerdale has not changed too much since the first settlers came to the area. During its early years, it was an agricultural shipping point. Until recently, potatoes were the leading product. Summerdale is also home of Pecan Winterfest, a celebratory festival that takes place each year in December. Mayor David Wilson of Summerdale see much promise in production and industry in the area where communications, environment, retail and construction are growing rapidly.
